5 easy habits of effective, credible speakers

Resolve to communicate with confidence in 2010

  1. End sentences cleanly, with a drop in your voice rather than a questioning tone.
  2. Eliminate junk words such as like, sort of, incredibly, and y'know.
  3. Collect quotes and saying to use in talks; memorize several favorites.
  4. Practice your own self-introduction; it’s probably your most frequent public speech
  5. Notice and avoid fidgety gestures, such as playing with your hands or touching your face.
